What starts in the cup, ends in conservation.
The Story Behind the Sip
Rhino Horn Coffee exists to turn everyday habits into real-world impact. Each purchase helps fund frontline anti-poaching operations in Southern Africa while supporting Timor-Leste farmers who grow our beans under jungle canopies. It’s ethical coffee that protects wildlife and livelihoods—one cup at a time.
Wild Rhino Beans
Protecting rhinos: Poaching remains the biggest threat to rhinos across Africa. In South Africa—the country with the largest rhino population—420 rhinos were killed in 2024, a meaningful decline from 499 in 2023, yet still more than one rhino a day. Your purchase helps resource ranger patrols, intelligence-led operations, and community partnerships that deter poaching before it happens.
Backing farmers in Timor-Leste: Our beans are grown in the highlands beneath natural canopy, helping preserve biodiversity and provide reliable income in rural communities. Paying fairly and buying direct helps farmers invest in quality, training, and regenerative practices—so your coffee tastes better and does better.
Why it matters now: Despite improved tactics and a drop in South Africa’s 2024 poaching total, organised crime remains active and pressure can shift between parks and countries. Staying the course—consistent funding, better tech, trained rangers—saves rhinos in real time.
